Focus on a new form of Public-Private Partnerships : Mobile clinic brings crucial boost to healthcare facilities in the City of Johannesburg

mardi 31 mars 2020

This was the first of its kind for the City of Joburg, and is part of its drive to strengthen relationships with the private sector in order to partner on delivering crucial services to Johannesburg residents. By the end of 2019, the City of Joburg will have 10 such mobile clinics operating across all of its regions.

This was donated as part of PPC Limited’s Local Economic Development programme, which is aligned to its Social and Labour Plan for the host and labour sending areas in and around PPC’s Laezonia Mine.

The Executive Mayor of the City of Joburg said : “I wish to thank PPC for responding to our call for greater collaboration between the private and public sectors. The reality is that the challenges we are faced with, although not insurmountable, simply cannot be overcome if we choose to stick to our individual corners and point fingers at each other. Thanks to our partnership with PPC Limited, an additional R3 million was donated to the City of Joburg for procurement of a mobile clinic.”
