I live in South Africa and work as a Development Economist
I'm John Mwaniki, an expert in International Development with several years experience in Development Finance and Local Economic Development and Private Sector Development. I have been actively involved in promoting the Local Economic Development initiatives, enhancing the institutional capacity and managerial capability of the Local Authorities especially in East and Southern Africa. In doing so, I have had strong collaboration with the Municipal Development Programme (MDP) in Harare. I am also a qualified consultant in Organisational Development with a flair for creativity and business acumen. I have worked for UNDP in private sector development, UNHCR and consulted for ILO, IFAD, UNFAO,UNEP,and several other international and Bilateral agencies.
