I also hold a PhD from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. I lecture Human Geography related courses such as Economic Geography, Geography of Regional Planning and Development and Quantitative Techniques in Geography. My current research interests are in Decentralisation, Local Economic Development and Urban Agriculture. While in terms of decentralisation and LED, my prime concern is examining capacity issues relating to implentation of decentralisation policies and LED strategies by local governments.
