Dear members,

have you also stumbled across the article "Foreign business persons invade Africas informal sector"? Because of its beautiful use of English language I had to read it twice before I got the hang of it.

I would be interested in the opinion of other members. Do you share the opinion of the author? Are foreigners harnessing all the potentials of the African economy or do Africans ignore the existing opportunities and just don't turn them into wealth? I guess the situation is very complex and it is true that lot's of Chinese and Indian business people can be found in the informal and formal sector of African economies. But don't we fuel xenophobia when criticising this? What do the foreigners do what Africans are probably not doing? Where does the success come from?
