- Shared by:

In this paper, we summarise some of the typical development challenges faced by a country in a post conflict situation and argue that the “rush” towards development can create problems. But these can be avoided, and we spell out some of the key considerations to do this. The brief is particularly relevant for countries and regions such as Somaliland, Puntland, Liberia and South Sudan, and although the emphasis is placed on Africa the solutions proposed can be applied elsewhere.
